The “Paint Incident”: students report discomfort from paint odour and request evidence that it is harmless
According to the supplied appendix to the Student Union Executive Committee’s Ninth Regular Meeting minutes, some students reported discomfort from the paint odour and asked the school to provide evidence that it was harmless.
The minutes record Mr. Mak’s response: once informed, he immediately instructed the worker to paint only after all students had left the floor following examinations, and to keep all nearby windows open. He also stated that any substance, even something as common as pure water, could be harmful in excessive amounts.
